    Full time Ag teacher for the 2019-2020 school year


    Teach students a variety of course in Agriculture Education. Current courses include:  Ag Science, Ag Business, Environmental Science, Animal/Vet Tech and Horticulture.   This position will also sponsor the Freeburg FFA chapter.  


    The successful candidate must have or be eligible for an Illinois PEL with Agriculture Education endorsement.


    Freeburg High School has a comparative salary and benefit package.  The starting base salary for the 2019/2020 school year is $37,400.  Benefits package include paid retirement (TRS contribution), 100% paid individual health and 50% paid family health insurance.  Freeburg High School also participates in the 3 Circles Grant which including the negotiated stipend for the Ag Teacher, will increased the Ag Ed instructor's salary by $14,000.

    Additional Notes

    Freeburg High School has a large Greenhouse and is currently completing a $500,000 + renovation for a new Agriculture Education Center.  The new Ag center will include two large classrooms and an oversize three bay shop for current and future Ag Projects.  Freeburg FFA is supported by a strong alumni association.

    The first day of classes for the 2019/2020 school year is August 12, 2019.  The new Agriculture Education Teacher should expect to have some summer duties prior to the start of school.
