Assistant Technology Director

This position currently provides help desk level support focusing heavily on Chromebook maintenance and Windows desktop support. The technology assistant works with the Director of Technology to support staff and students' technology needs. The position is a full time, year round position. There are opportunities for advancement based upon skill level, experience, and job performance.

Required Skills: Interpersonal communication, Ability to work independently without direct, supervision, Ability to troubleshoot issues in a logical progression, Basic mechanical skills, Knowledge of Microsoft ecosystem (Windows, Office), Knowledge of ChromeOS (Google Chrome, Google Drive Suite), Knowledge of basic networking, Basic hardware troubleshooting (Desktop, Chromebook, Network, Printing), Ability to work from a ladder and lift weight over 50 pounds

Instructional Aide/Support Personnel

Freeburg Community High School is seeking Teacher’s Aides for immediate employment. This position will assist Teachers in the Special Education department to include one-on-one time with students, as well as time spent in classrooms.

Qualifications: Certified to be a paraprofessional in the State of Illinois

Salary/Benefits: Pay will be based on experience and education level. Anticipated starting pay will be $13.00 an hour. The position does include 100% district paid individual health insurance and partial family health insurance.

Evening Maintenance/Custodian

Freeburg High School is seeking an evening Maintenance/Custodian for immediate hire. The salary range is $18 to $20 dollars an hour depending on experience. This is a full time, year round, permanent position with work hours being 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm Monday - Friday with occasional overtime hours on the weekend. This position qualifies for District paid individual health insurance, paid holidays, vacation days and IMRF retirement.


Perform maintenance as needed.

Supervise night time cleaning crew.

General custodial work

Required Skills:

Must have a high school diploma with post high school training preferred.

Experience with general building maintenance.

Experience supervising others.

Physical Requirements;

Successful candidates must be able to handle the physical rigors of the position including being able to lift up to 50 lbs without difficulty.

Social Worker

Freeburg Community High School District 77 is seeking a Social Worker for the 2022-2023 school year to join the Student Services Department currently consisting of two Guidance Counselors and a Social Worker. The Student Services Department works collaboratively to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of our 700 students. The following duties will be shared with the current Social Worker:

  • Provide family services, individual and small group counseling services.

  • Provide IEP minutes to students on caseload.

  • Oversee 504 accommodation plans

  • Crisis response for students in critical need.

  • Attend and participate in IEP, 504, and other problem solving meetings, as necessary.

  • Involvement with students who experience attendance, academic, social, and emotional issues.

  • Assist administration and teachers as needed with student

  • Serve as a liaison between the school and home with ongoing communication and provision of information from outside agencies to help families with challenges and concerns.


Candidates must have the appropriate Professional Educator Licensure (PEL) to be a School Social Worker in the State of Illinois.


Freeburg Community High School #77 has a competitive salary and benefits package. The District will honor years of service and education credit per the guidelines in the current CBA. The District pays 100% of Single Health Insurance or a portion of Family Health Insurance in addition to District paid TRS.
